Visit Menu

Here are some options for the types of visits you can choose:

1. Intake visit. For a first visit to your new primary care doctor. An in-person visit that usually lasts 60 minutes. Involves taking your medical history and full physical examination.

2. Follow-up visit. For taking care of continuing needs. An in-person visit that usually lasts 30 minutes.

3. Urgent visit. Booked on short notice. In most cases, can be made for the same day. An in-person visit to take care of an urgent issue. Note that in some cases, if the staff or doctor believe you may need procedures only provided by doctors in our Urgent Care or Emergency Room facilities, they may direct you to a different care site. In such cases, your primary care doctor will contact the team at that location so they understand your history and needs.

4. Phone visit. In some cases, such as discussing lab results, it may be mutually agreed by you and the doctor to do the visit by phone. We feel this may be more convenient for patients. These will last about 15 minutes in most cases. Note that sometimes the doctor may feel the discussion will be long or be better done in person, in which case they'll suggest an in-person visit.

5. RelayHealth. Using RelayHealth is not really a "visit," but can be a way for simple messages to be exchanged. Complex discussions probably should be done by phone or in-person. Please keep in mind that a RelayHealth message may not be seen and replied to by the doctor for up to 12-24 hour, so if you need a faster response, please call us!
